GYE will host its Annual Charity Golf Day at Barwon Heads Golf Course, Golf Links Road, Barwon Heads on Friday, 15th December 2023.
THE EVENT
The date is set for Friday, 15th December 2023, where we will start with registration at 07.30am and a shotgun start at 8.00am. Lunch will be served from 1.00pm followed by guest speakers, Auction prizes and the event will conclude at approx. 3.00pm.
Out on the course the teams will tackle 18 holes in the bid to win the Gentsomes game. A Gentsomes team is made up of 4 players and all players play their own golf ball from the tee. The person with the lowest handicap is TEAM CAPTAIN. Each player has their own score card. From the drive, the best ball is chosen, and all players play from that spot. If the ball is on the fairway, drop within one club length, if it’s in the rough or a hazard, then the ball must be dropped in the same position. From this position, ALL players play out the hole with their OWN ball and record their Stableford score. The best two of the four scores are recorded and totaled for the team score card. The team with the highest number of points at the end of the round is the winner. Each player must have 2 drives.
As players work their way around the course each participant will attempt putting competition, betting hole. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day to keep everyone playing at their best (please note: there is no alcohol on the course). Merchandize will also be sold as well as the opportunity to win ‘Closest to the Hole’ and ‘Stringline on the 18th Hole’. There will be teams of 4 players, $1,000 inclusive of gst for each team. Limited players on the course so you will need to be quick to organise your team and register.
